Krasi Village located at an altitude of 600 meters in the municipality Hersonissosa on the northwestern slopes of Mount Selena has an altitude of 1,559 meters, just 46.3 km from the city of Heraklion. The main occupation of the inhabitants is farming and olive cultivation.
To the northeast of the village on the northern slopes of Selena azilakon saved forests, oak and maple. At the highest point of the village is the “Great Fountain”, a source of abundant water, which irrigate a large area with many fruit trees, especially walnuts. Near the source is a huge tree trunk circumference of 22 meters and shades extensive square, where the nights during the summer months are pleasant. The tree is known for its size and age which, as estimated by the residents are over a thousand years.
