Mochos is a village in the Municipality of Hersonissos, located at an altitude of 400 m on the western edge of fertile but arid plain, full of olive groves and vineyards. Distance from Heraklion 45.8 km. The inhabitants engaged in olive growing and viticulture. The base of the village’s economy is farming and in particular, olive oil. Mochos has a great atmosphere in the Square with lovely restaurants and friendly people.
